Native-Mode Mass Spectrometry Analysis

Abstract:
Native mass spectrometry is an analytical technique for studying proteins and noncovalent protein complexes in their biological state. Structural information is obtained quickly. LCGC recently sat down with Florian Busch, PhD, research associate, mass spectrometry & proteomics, at the Resource for Native Mass Spectrometry Guided Structural Biology at The Ohio State University, and Zac VanAernum, a chemistry doctoral candidate from the laboratory of Professor Vicki Wysocki at The Ohio State University, to discuss practical applications of native mass spectrometry, as well as its implementation and technical challenges.
